The name Novitax is derived from the Latin word Novitas which means 'novelty'. For Novitax, the meaning is two-fold: On one hand, taxes are relatively new to the Middle East region. For example in the UAE, the VAT law has been introduced in 2018 and Corporate Tax is effective as of 1 June 2023. On the other hand, although active in the professional/business services industry for quite some time, setting up a tax boutique and that in a new country is a personal novelty too.
